I’ve been interested in card tricks at the age of 7 and up until now I do it as a habit. Seeing someone astonished by your magic performance is the best feeling in the world. Yeah, I’ve been through all situations of failing a trick, well most of the times and I’ve learned my lesson. So for starters and to those who are interested in learning the basics, I will give you some tutorials that will help you become a skilled magician.
1.) Double Lift - Lifting two cards as if its one.
2.) False Shuffle - Fake shuffle that forces a selected card on top or bottom of the deck or keeping the order in place of the whole deck.
3.) False Cut - Fake cut that forces a selected card on top or bottom of the deck or keeping the order in place of the whole deck.
4.) Elmsley Count - Fake counting of cards.
Bsically, that's some of the beginner's trick that you must learn because most card tricks uses that technique. Double lifts, false shuffles and cut is a MUST learn before advancing to tougher ones.
